Henryk Kasperczak – player and coach of football team – awarded for significant contribution to Stal Mielec team in years 1965-1978, outright friendly connection with Mielec, achievements in Polish football representations, championship titles in national Ekstraklasa and successes of white and blue squad of Stal Mielec, international and national coach successes, as a sign of Mielec’s pride for incredible training talent and craft of an football adept as well as an Olympian, as a sign of gratitude for great matches on world stages, Mundial’s excitements, emotions in European Cups and worthy attitude of a Polish sportsman abroad.

Werner Hamel – mayor of German city of Lőhne – awarded for significant contribution in creating and continuing partnership between city of Lőhne  (Germany) and Mielec (Poland) as well as preparation of foundation for future collaboration between cities and residents.

Andrzej Niemczyk – coach of Polish female volleyball team – awarded for coaching and competitive contribution in national and Stal Mielec volleyball teams, as a sign of Mielec’s residents gratitude for sports emotions and happiness, great matches on volleyball court of Male League and Female Ekstraklasa and for all volleyball successes given to followers and Mielec’s residents.

Feliks Kiryk – professor of Pedagogical Academy in Cracow – awarded for scientific and historical research of Mielec’s region in years 1970-2000, included in 3-tome compilation “Mielec: dzieje miasta i regionu” presented in numerous academic publications and symposiums; open sympathy towards Mielec’s residents and personal contribution in revealing city’s history.
