Special Economic Zone EURO – PARK MIELEC

To meet the needs of entrepreneurs and potential investors, we have created areas of economic activity where an advantage is the availability of incentives, preferences, and simplified administrative procedures. Such areas include the SEZ EURO-PARK MIELEC and Mielec Industrial Park (MIP).
The Special Economic Zone EURO – PARK MIELEC was created in 1995. Since 2001, the main area of the Zone located in Mielec has been gradually expanded to include outside areas called Subzones. Currently, the Zone covers an area of 1,460 hectares and is located in 26 subzones: in Subcarpathian, Lublin, Silesia, Lesser Poland and Western Pomerania provinces.
The Special Economic Zone EURO-PARK MIELEC was established as the first such area of economic activity in Poland. Over twenty years, more than 300 permits to operate in the Special Economic Zone EURO-PARK MIELEC have been granted, thus creating many thousands of jobs. More than 26 thousand employees work in the companies of the SEZ EURO-PARK MIELEC holding permits, and the incurred capital expenditure amounted to over 6.6 billion PLN.
Currently in Mielec, 67 companies operate based on the permit for conducting business activity on the premises of the zone, which have incurred capital expenditure in the amount of 3.77 billion PLN. The area, which the zone in Mielec covers is approx. 605 hectares.
The immediate governing body of the zone is the Department of the Industrial Development Agency S.A. in Mielec, whose primary task is to issue permits to operate in the SEZ, on behalf of the Minister of Economy, by tendering procedures or negotiations.
The zone in Mielec, in independent rankings, is rated as one of the most effective zones in Poland, which is confirmed by statistics.
