The Oborski Palace at 73 Legionów Street

Siedziba Muzeum Regionalnego w Mielcu w Pałacyku Oborskich

The headquarters of the Regional Museum of the Local Government Culture Centre. In the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries it was a city manor house on the banks of the Wisłoka River, which was erected after the demolition of a Renaissance knight’s castle of the Gryfici-Mielecki family. It was inhabited by the successive owners of Mielecki possessions. In 1906, Count Wacław Oborski completed the construction of the palace, connected to an old manor. In the 1990s the local city authorities allotted the historic building as the seat of the Regional Museum and conducted a thorough restoration of the palace. Its interiors host exhibitions, and often city celebrations, international meetings, scientific sessions and weddings.
