The Gallery of Polish Kings and Princes (“Royal Room”) – a unique in the country gallery of images of Polish rulers, located in the auditorium of the National Music School of the 1st and 2nd degree named after Mieczysław Karłowicz at 10 T. Kościuszko Street. The former meeting room of the District Council in Mielec was decorated in the years 1907-1909 with coats of arms of all lands and provinces of Poland within the borders until 1795 and a beautiful frieze of 44 majestic portraits of Polish rulers, as well as images of Tadeusz Kościuszko and Kazimierz Pułaski – heroes of Polish and United States of North America democracies. By modelling on Jan Matejko’s sketches, the colourful images were painted by a student of the famous Polish artist – painter Konstanty Niemczykiewicz from Lviv.
