Economic potential of the city

Mielec is located in south-eastern Poland in Podkarpackie Province. This region is characterized by dynamic industrial development. Mielec is one of the largest industrial centres in south-eastern Poland.
The city, having attractive investment areas and the wide array of human resources, gives great opportunities to develop business ventures. Factors that influence the dynamic development of the city are not only low business costs, but also accessibility and proximity to markets.
The strengths of our city are:

  • Proximity to the growing markets of Eastern Europe
  • The eastern border of the EU
  • Areas conducive to investment: SSE Euro Park Mielec and Mielec Industrial Park
  • High potential existing in various sectors (diversification of industries)
  • Dynamically developing cooperation of companies within the cluster “Aviation Valley”
  • Investments – many international companies have already invested in the region
  • Competitive prices of land for investments
  • Increasingly developed network of transport (road, rail and air).

Favourable conditions for business development mean that entrepreneurs are keen to invest in new business ventures and develop existing ones. In addition to the big tycoons in the aviation, automotive and wood sphere, many medium and small, often family businesses develop.
Considering the higher supply of suitably qualified personnel than in other regions of Poland, and simultaneously lower labour costs, Mielec provides unique conditions for investment. An undeniable advantage is also low costs of doing business in our city, which is among the lowest in Poland and are lower when compared to Poland’s average costs.
The city’s position is also confirmed by numerous awards and received certificates.
